# Launch Connecture from a Contact Record

{% hint style="success" %}
**Audience:** Admins, Developers, <code class="expression">space.vars.automation</code> Builders, Support & Operation teams, and Solution Architects

**Purpose:** Explains how to launch Connecture from a <code class="expression">space.vars.contact</code> <code class="expression">space.vars.entity</code> in <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code> to complete Medicare quotes and enrollments.
{% endhint %}

## **Overview** <a href="#overview" id="overview"></a>

Launching Connecture from a Contact <code class="expression">space.vars.entity</code> in <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code> allows you to start a Medicare quote or enrollment using <code class="expression">space.vars.contact</code> data that’s already on file. <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code> automatically passes beneficiary information to Connecture and signs you in using single sign-on, so you can move directly into quoting and enrollment without re-entering data or logging in separately.

Once the enrollment is submitted in Connecture, the completed enrollment is returned to the <code class="expression">space.vars.contact</code> <code class="expression">space.vars.entity</code> in <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code>. This keeps <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code> as the system of record, reduces duplicate data entry, and ensures enrollment details are captured accurately for follow-up, reporting, and compliance.

## **Before You Begin** <a href="#getting-started" id="getting-started"></a>

Before you begin, make sure:

* Ensure your NPN (Network Provider Number) is configured in the Connecture plugin employee settings, which is managed during business provisioning.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code> uses your NPN to verify your identity in Connecture. If it’s missing or incorrect, Connecture won’t launch. Contact your administrator or [Kizen Support](https://support.kizen.com/support/tickets/new) if you need to update it.
{% endhint %}

* You have access to the Connecture integration
  * If you don’t see a button for Connecture from a <code class="expression">space.vars.contact</code> <code class="expression">space.vars.entity</code>, contact [Kizen Support](https://support.kizen.com/support/tickets/new).

## Launch Connecture from a Contact Record

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### **Open the Contact Record** <a href="#step-1-open-the-contact-record" id="step-1-open-the-contact-record"></a>

1. Navigate to **Data >** **Contacts**.
   1. You’ll see a list of all your <code class="expression">space.vars.contacts</code>.
2. Open the <code class="expression">space.vars.contact</code> you want to quote or enroll.

**Why this matters:** Connecture uses the information stored in this <code class="expression">space.vars.contact</code> <code class="expression">space.vars.entity</code> to pre-fill the beneficiary’s profile. Opening the correct <code class="expression">space.vars.contact</code> ensures you send accurate data into Connecture
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### **Launch Connecture** <a href="#step-2-launch-to-connecture" id="step-2-launch-to-connecture"></a>

In the <code class="expression">space.vars.contact</code> <code class="expression">space.vars.entity</code>, select the Connecture button.

When Connecture opens, it verifies:

* Your NPN
* Your Connecture/SSO credentials
* Your organization’s Connecture configuration

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** Connecture also checks the beneficiary’s Medicare number and may show you a list of possible matches. If you see this screen, select the correct person to continue.
{% endhint %}

If Connecture does not launch:

* Check your NPN in your <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code> Employee profile. You will need to view it in the FMO Business. There's an Activity in the FMO business to update the NPN.
* If it’s missing or incorrect, update it or contact your administrator
* If the issue continues, contact [Kizen Support](https://support.kizen.com/support/tickets/new)

**Why this matters:**\
This step confirms you’re authorized to use Connecture and ensures you’re working with the correct beneficiary. If your NPN is missing or incorrect, Connecture cannot verify your license and will not launch.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### **Kizen sends the Contact data** <a href="#step-3-kizen-sends-the-contact-data" id="step-3-kizen-sends-the-contact-data"></a>

<code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code> automatically sends the <code class="expression">space.vars.contact</code> (beneficiary’s) information to Connecture, including:

* Name
* Medicare number
* Date of birth
* Address (derived from the ZIP code)
* Phone and email
* Drugs, pharmacies, and providers (if listed)

It will also send your NPN number.

**Why this matters:** All required information is transferred for you. This saves time, reduces errors, and ensures Connecture loads an accurate profile without manual data entry.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### **You are signed in automatically** <a href="#step-4-you-are-signed-in-automatically" id="step-4-you-are-signed-in-automatically"></a>

<code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code> signs you into Connecture using single sign-on (SSO). You land on the beneficiary’s pre-filled Connecture profile.

**Why this matters:** You don’t need to log in separately or look up the member. <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code> and Connecture stay linked throughout the session, so your enrollment returns to the right Contact.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### **Review and quote plans** <a href="#step-5-review-and-quote-plans" id="step-5-review-and-quote-plans"></a>

Now that your beneficiary’s information is filled out inside Connecture, you can:

* Add or update drugs, doctors, and pharmacies
* Compare Medicare Advantage, PDP, and Medigap plans
* Review costs and coverage
* Choose a plan with the beneficiary

**Why this matters:** This is where you determine the beneficiary’s best plan options. Connecture uses up-to-date data from <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code>, which helps you provide accurate recommendations.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### **Complete the enrollment** <a href="#step-6-complete-the-enrollment" id="step-6-complete-the-enrollment"></a>

After selecting a plan:

1. Complete the enrollment form
2. Review the beneficiary details
3. Submit the enrollment

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** Only submitted enrollments are returned to <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code>. Non-submitted enrollments will not be populated in <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code>.
{% endhint %}

**Why this matters:** Submitting the enrollment is what makes it official. It’s the only way the enrollment gets sent back to <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code> and added to the beneficiary’s record. If you don’t submit, <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code> won’t show the enrollment, and there will be no proof that the beneficiary was enrolled.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### **Enrollment information returns to Kizen** <a href="#step-7-enrollment-information-returns-to-kizen" id="step-7-enrollment-information-returns-to-kizen"></a>

After you submit the enrollment, Connecture sends the completed enrollment back to <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code>.\
The data includes:

* Plan selection
* Effective dates
* Beneficiary information
* Medicare identifiers (MBI, Part A/B dates)
* Enrollment metadata (SEP reason, agency fields)

**Why this matters**: This is how <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code> receives the official enrollment information. You don’t need to re-enter anything. All data comes back automatically.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### **View the enrollment in Kizen** <a href="#step-8-view-the-enrollment-in-kizen" id="step-8-view-the-enrollment-in-kizen"></a>

<code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code> matches the enrollment to the correct Contact using:

* Connecture SSO/Contact ID
* Session ID
* Email
* Medicare number
* Name + phone number

If <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code> cannot find a match, it may create a new <code class="expression">space.vars.contact</code> for the beneficiary. You can view the enrollment details in the beneficiary’s <code class="expression">space.vars.contact</code> <code class="expression">space.vars.entity</code> once the data returns. For more information, see [Connecture Contact Matching Rules](/docs/integrations-and-plugins/integrations/connecture/connecture-contact-matching-rules.md).

**Why this matters:** This step confirms that the enrollment is recorded, trackable, and available for future reporting or follow-up, keeping <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code> as the system of <code class="expression">space.vars.entity</code>.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://developer.kizen.com/docs/integrations-and-plugins/integrations/connecture/connecture.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
