**Audience:** Admins, Developers, Solution Architects

**Purpose:** Describes troubleshooting methods for issues with the Zendesk integration
{% endhint %}

The following table presents solutions to common issues with the Zendesk integration. For additional help, see the [Zendesk developer documentation](https://developer.zendesk.com/documentation/).

| Issue                                                                       | Cause                                                                                     | What to do                                                                                                                                                   |
| --------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| You received an error that your access token expired. | The integration lost its authorization. | Re-authorize from the integration settings. |
| You received the **HTTP 422 Unprocessable Content** status code. | Your action would have returned more than 1,000 results. | Target the query to return fewer results. |
| You received the **HTTP 429 Too Many Requests** status code. | Your request exceeded the Zendesk platform's rate limits. | Check the action in the <code class="expression">space.vars.automation</code>. Target the query to return fewer results. Reduce the frequency of the action. |
| You created a ticket, but the status of the ticket isn't what you expected. | The Zendesk platform updates ticket statuses automatically according to its own criteria. | Don't rely on intermediate statuses for <code class="expression">space.vars.automation</code> triggers. |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://developer.kizen.com/docs/integrations-and-plugins/integrations/zendesk/troubleshoot-zendesk.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
