# Schedule a Zoom Meeting from a Kizen Record

**Purpose**: Explains how to turn on the Enable Schedule Meeting Adornment app configuration and schedule Zoom meetings from `Date` and `DateTime` fields in <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code> <code class="expression">space.vars.entities</code>

## Overview

**Caution:** This setup reflects Kizen's default configuration. Your administrator may have customized your layout, so columns or navigation may appear differently. Trial accounts may have limited features.

After you set up the Schedule Meeting adornment in the Zoom integration, you can schedule Zoom meetings on demand directly from `Date` and `DateTime` fields in <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code> <code class="expression">space.vars.entities</code>. The integration uses the date and time values of the field as the default date and time of the scheduled meeting.

## Before You Begin

To schedule a Zoom meeting from a <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code> <code class="expression">space.vars.entity</code>, you need:

* An active Zoom account
* Authorization at the user level for the Zoom integration

## Turn On the Schedule Meeting Adornment

To turn on the Schedule Meeting adornment:

#### Go to the App Marketplace

In the global navigation of <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code>, select **Platform** > **App Marketplace**.

#### Edit the Zoom configuration

Find the Zoom card, and select **Edit Configuration**.

#### Go to the user settings

On the configuration page, select the **User Settings** tab.

#### Turn on the Schedule Meeting adornment

In the App Configuration section of the user settings, select **Enable Schedule Meeting Adornment**.

## Schedule a Zoom Meeting from a Kizen Record

Make sure to turn on the Schedule Meeting adornment in the Zoom integration before you complete these steps. For more information, see [Turn On the Schedule Meeting Adornment](#turn-on-the-schedule-meeting-adornment)&#x20;

To schedule a Zoom meeting from a <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code> <code class="expression">space.vars.entity</code>:

#### Open a Record

From the global navigation in <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code>, select **Data** > **Custom Objects** and the name of an <code class="expression">space.vars.object</code> to open its <code class="expression">space.vars.entities</code> page. Then select the name of the <code class="expression">space.vars.entity</code> to open.

**Note:** If the table on your Records page already includes the `Date` or `DateTime` field that you want to use, you don't need to open the <code class="expression">space.vars.entity</code>. Use the date or time in the table instead.

#### Select the Schedule Zoom Meeting adornment of a Date or DateTime field

Find a `Date` or `DateTime` field on the <code class="expression">space.vars.entity</code> to use to schedule the meeting, and select its Schedule Zoom Meeting adornment. The date value of the field becomes of the date of the scheduled meeting.

**Note:** Other <code class="expression">space.vars.Kizen\_company\_name</code> integrations use similar adornments. When more than one of these integrations is installed, an ellipsis icon appears next to the field instead of the adornment graphic. To schedule the Zoom meeting, select the ellipsis, and then select **Schedule Zoom Meeting** from the context menu that opens.

#### Configure the Zoom meeting

To configure the Zoom meeting, do the following:

* Add a meeting topic in the **Meeting Topic** field.
* Select the start time of the meeting from the **Start Time** dropdown menu.
* Select the duration of the meeting from the **Duration** dropdown menu.

**Note:** If you schedule the meeting from a `DateTime` field, the integration uses the time value of this field as the start time of the scheduled meeting. If you attempt to schedule a meeting in the past, the integration substitutes the current time.
